i'm going to be 18 in a few days and i have a structured settlement that i'm not supposed to be getting until august of 2009. problem is, my father is unemployed and i have a car that is barely running. i live pretty far out in the country and there's no public transit, so there's really no way of getting to and from a job without a reliable vehicle. if i go to a bank and offer the paperwork on my structured settlement as collateral or something, what are my chances of getting a loan even though i'm unemployed or can i even get one at all?
